Many of you follow my daily rants on Facebook and know my life is NOT without drama!! It really IS all in good fun...I love my life - and it is crazy at times - but this blog is mainly to remind me, and each of us, that I am NOT crazy...it is just life!!!
I am fast approaching that magical age - you know the one where mammograms are mandatory, reading glasses start being necessary and people start referring to the "change" - yup I am almost 40!! And while I do NOT think 40 is even remotely "old" - it is hitting me with some interesting new things...
So..... I am blogging about my adventures into this un-chartered territory. Join me,if you will, into this thing I call my life!!
After the birth of my 3rd child - and a c/s and tubal ligation - my "cycles" became extremely heavy - and for years I got the pat answer - of "post c/s", "post tubal" and finally - "nearing 40" ...so I dealt with that with an endometrial ablation 2 years ago - and now I no longer deal with the "blood" part of this journey and so the rest of my blog will mostly focus on the "sweat and tears!!!"
I will tell anyone going through hormonal changes - You are NOT crazy - hormones can wreak havoc on your emotional state...just ask my family!! I could go from laughing to tears in the same sentence - and these "outbursts" would lovingly be deemed "DEM's" by my family - "Dinner Emotional, Moments"...b/c they usually happened during dinner conversation. I still can have some interesting "mood swings." I will share how I deal with those down the road.
Any woman who understands what it feels like to have to blow dry your hair in front of a high speed fan with the a/c on full blast will appreciate when I mention these crazy hot flashes and night sweats...
So - I don't know what each blog post will hold - but it is coming from my real life!! Hold on and enjoy the ride!!!!
